Bedlinen Sizing
Our Designers Guild and Orla Kiely bedlinen is designed and made for the UK market which has slightly different standard duvet sizes than we do here in New Zealand.
We have converted the sizes to suit the NZ market and so when shopping online at smallacorns.co.nz you simply need to select the size according to the size of your NZ duvet (or Aussie doona) inner.
These UK sized duvet covers will be slightly larger than your standard NZ duvet, but we think that’s good as it means you’ve got a little extra beautiful bedlinen to snuggle into at night!
The one exception to this is if you have a NZ Queen size duvet, you are very lucky as you can fit your duvet into either the queen or double sizes. Depending on if you want the cover to fit tightly around your inner (buy a double) or be slightly larger and hang a bit further down the sides of your bed (buy a queen).

Delivery / Freight
Shipping to NZ is a flat rate of $10 per order.
Although unusually bulky or very heavy items may incur an additional fee.

Shipping to Australia is a flat rate of NZ$25 per order.
(Or you could come visit us for about $500 return!)
Bulky or heavy packages will be sent at a base rate cost with an additional price per kilo depending on your delivery postcode. The customer is responsible for all import duties and taxes relevant to the country of destination.

Shipping to the UK, Europe, USA and the rest of the world is a flat rate of NZ$40 per order.
(That's much cheaper than a flight to NZ- but not as much fun!)

When we receive notification of an order being placed we generally pick and pack that order almost immediately, then we call the courier and wait eagerly for them to come collect your goodies.
We only ship orders Monday – Friday as that’s when the couriers are working. If an order is placed on Friday afternoon we generally won’t call the couriers until Monday morning as we don’t want your lovely items to be sitting in the courier warehouse all weekend – we think they’re much safer with us for the weekend!
Within New Zealand:
North Island orders should be delivered by Courier Post the day after they are collected from Small Acorns.
South Island and Rural Areas can expect orders to be delivered 2-3 working days after the order is collected from Small Acorns.
Australia:

International:

Yes, most of our products which are listed as “Out of Stock” will be back in stock in the near future, or we could order them especially for you. Just email us on wgtn@smallacorns.co.nz detailing which “Out of Stock” product you are particularly keen on and we will let you know if we can get it and when we might be able to have it in for you.

Yes, we take great pride in our beautiful complimentary gift wrapping at Small Acorns! We tissue and paper wrap your gifts in our Small Acorns custom paper, and then finish it all off with ribbon. Simply tick the Gift Wrap box during checkout.
We can also put a wee gift tag in there too if you like (we were inspired by florists cards!), just write your short message in the “Card Message” box during checkout and we’ll do the rest.

Returns
We understand that shopping online can be tricky and we want you to love the things you buy from Small Acorns.
However, we are not obliged to accept any goods for return where you have simply changed your mind, and all goods for return must be authorised by us, whether purchased online, instore or via phone or email. If for any reason you are not satisfied with any product you have purchased, please return it to us in original, unopened condition (this is particularly important with bedlinen) with the original packaging, & your receipt, within 14 days of delivery and we will credit it or refund the purchase price using the method you used for the initial purchase. Please call 0800 22 67 67 (0800 ACORNS) if you need any instruction or have any queries. A refund or credit note will be at our discretion. Freight and delivery charges will not be refunded or credited. Please note, goods purchased on sale, layby, or gift vouchers are non-returnable, and are considered firm sale, whether purchased online, instore, or via phone or email.
We cannot accept unused goods in damaged packaging unless they are faulty. For hygiene reasons cosmetics, creams and toiletries cannot be returned unless they are faulty. Freight charges are not refundable unless the goods are faulty, in which case we will also refund you the cost of returning the goods to us.
We cannot offer refunds, credits or returns on sale items, lay-bys or gift vouchers.
Unfortunately we are unable to refund, exchange or credit any items damaged in the wash.
