As Good As New! The idea of revamping old furniture, and transforming it into something original and stylish, upcycling it into a fabulous customised piece of furniture for your home is a huge interiors trend right now, and fits perfectly with our philosphy that the best interiors are always curated. They shouldn’t look like something from a catalogue. When you  reinvent your old sofa or chair with a great new fabric you end up with something totally unique, that no-one else will have or be able to have. Old pieces have character, and often (although not always) are made from a time when furniture was made by skilled craftspeople, and so are actually beautifully made individual pieces, not mass-produced, quickly made furniture. Such pieces look absolutely gorgeous when simply updated with a contemporary fabric – a vintage piece made modern.

From a practical perspective, if you love your old sofa, and it is comfortable and well made, why ditch it for something new when it can easily be updated. While the frame is exposed the upholsterer is also able to fix any squeaks or springs, replace the foam, and give you some new seat cushions, and all for approximately half the cost of a brand new (bespoke) frame. Recovering is always an option worth considering for these reasons too.
