Based in Melbourne Australia, Vintage Posters Only is owned by Sam Johnson aka the Poster King. Sam has been specialising in original vintage posters since the early 90’s.

We have been obsessed with these amazing vintage posters for some time, and for us a visit to Melbourne isn't complete without a visit to see Sam & Simone and their incredible collection. As you might imagine, it is difficult to come home empty-handed after a visit to their store. So, when they suggested sending some posters across the ditch to us here in Wellington, naturally we couldn't say yes fast enough.

What does original mean?

As their name says Vintage Posters Only only deal in original vintage posters – never reproductions!

In poster lingo, the term ‘original’ refers to a poster that’s an authentic, first-run copy from the time it was created, not a reproduction or modern print.
